LEONIDAS DUO "It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah."
[/blockquote] He's running again.
Leon knows that Buck knows. His master lets him run, knows that sometimes Leon can't stand it. So he runs, and finds no solace in the places he goes to. Emerald eyes are closed as he runs; and he knows that Zeon's waiting. He draws to a stop, stares up at the abandoned building with no hope of survival, lets a morbid smile rise to his lips. He's standing outside of it, knows that if he goes in and nobody finds him, then he won't be re-set. He'll be able to just die peacefully, right? Nobody will find him - nobody will care. Buck might send a search party, but he'll give up eventually. Maybe after twenty years, he will. Leon knows this is betrayal to him. He knows this will break his master's heart. But he can't find an alternative - can't destroy the virus in him unless he's destroyed, too.
Another little smile.
Leon's lips are curved to an almost-scary smile, not a happy one - but one of content. He'll be destroyed, finally. And everything he's gone through will be finished. Finished, finished, finished. He steps forward again, fingers lingering on the crumbling walls - emerald eyes holding a look of content. He throws his head back and laughs, laughs harder than he's ever laughed before - knowing that he'll die in some kind of club that's going to die along with him.
"Oh, my. Look what's going to happen to the soul pop star."
He steps inside.

It was then that I realized.. the true meaning of serendipity. Akaito was running errands alone. They weren't anyone's errands but his own, and somehow he'd gotten mixed up in a few underhanded 'negotiations'. Normally he wouldn't have been caught dead in such a seedy part of town, but there were things that he had to do, there. Once this last set of tasks were done, he'd be off the hook with the tangled mess that he'd fallen into. He dressed carefully so that he'd be unrecognizable to anyone who knew him. His face was hidden beneath dark glasses and his body was clad in street clothes. The only way someone would've been able to pick him out would be by the scarf he wore. Loose around his neck, the faded red scarf flapped in the small breeze. Even with the trademark scarf, it would take someone a while to realize who he really was.
Akaito walked briskly, he wanted to finish up in the shortest amount of time possible. He turned around a corner, but quickly moved back behind it when he noticed that he wasn't alone on the street. It was such a desolate side of town, seeing another person there really startled Akaito. He held a hand over his pounding chest. Akaito should've known better than to go out unarmed. He doubled back and ducked into an alley. There, he found a rusty metal rod. Akaito looked up at the old fire escapes hanging on the building and figured that what he now held had come off of one of them. What used to help people escape a burning building was now a weapon in Akaito's hands. He gritted his teeth and ran back to the corner, peeking around it.
He stared hard, eyes narrowed at the other person. They seemed horribly familiar, but Akaito was much too far away to recognize or really see any sort of defining features. He reached up, pulling the glasses on his face to sit low on his nose so he could see better. The rusty metal of his new-found weapon bit into the palms of his hands. It was an unpleasant sensation, but Akaito kept his grip on it. He watched the person carefully, they seemed to be talking to themselves, then they disappeared into the building they had been standing in front of.
Akaito let out a long breath, not realizing that he'd stopped breathing normally while he watched the other person. Normally he would've just gone about his business, but something really bothered him about the person who had disappeared into the dilapidated building. He stepped quietly down the street to the entrance of the building, but stopped short so he could glance inside. His eyes widened as realization hit. "...Leon..?"

LEONIDAS DUO "It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah."
[/blockquote] Leon's lips are curved again as he walks through, fingers lightly touching the faded colors - the crumbling foundation that was once a club people stayed in. The VOCALOID resists the urge to laugh again. This is all so strange, dying in a place where those who made you enjoyed themselves. He's supposed to make them happy, too, but look at what he's doing. The irony and the hypocrisies make him unbearably amused, and as he continues to step, and his shoes continue on with their tapping along the ground covered in dust and dirt and vile and poison. He sees a dead bug, and knows that should his human be here with him, he'd be crying. The soul pop star's not sure as to how he plans on dying - he can't possibly kick and scream and punch this place to the ground, because it'll attract what little attention this place can bring. He contemplates, he thinks, and as he continues to walk and run his fingers along dusty walls and cracks; he realizes the art it has, and finds out that he'll end up tainting a masterpiece created by time itself.
"I'm sorry."
Leon's ready to get himself killed, begins tugging on part of the foundation - and then hears it. A voice, calling him. Calling Leon Duo, the VOCALOID with the problem - the VOCALOID with the virus. The voice is familiar and he knows he's heard it, but as the blond turns to face whoever speaks to him, his heart catches into his throat. It's another VOCALOID, this one knows who he is, and he can't just get himself extinct when he knows that someone who knows his pseudo-self is here with him. A small smile forms on his face, emerald optics closing and curving upwards to match - and the blond's voice tumbles out of his lips, partially robotic, as he's the one with the worst vocal chords among the group. Leon doesn't particularly care, and as he speaks he doesn't mind that the beam that he's holding on is beginning to wobble. He just hopes Akaito isn't stupid enough to step further in, and destroy himself along with the blond. How Akaito came to be here, Leon's not sure. But he realizes that he has lousy luck, and doesn't question it.
"Oh, yes. Leon Duo, at your service, Akaito-sama. What a pleasure to see you again," he close to purrs, trying his best not to crack in front of this one, because he knows Akaito's different from the rest. His attitude isn't as.. cheerful. And Leon knows that Akaito can take him down anytime, and whenever he shows signs of resistance, he knows that Akaito can hurt him, too. And he thinks that pain that does not come because of wanting to die hurts, and is nothing more of a burden. He can't be bothered with such trivial things, and he leans against the beam - feels it falter slightly under his weight (which is bad enough - he's terribly light, and can be carried by possibly one of the Kagamine twins), and lets one of those adorable smiles grace his features. He thinks he looks old. He's not sure if that assumption's correct.
"I'd ask what you're doing here, but isn't that nosy? Ohoho."

It was then that I realized.. the true meaning of serendipity. So he was right, it was Leon, and Leon was talking to himself. Akaito continued to watch him, his eyes narrowed in suspicion. As his presence became known, however, he went ahead and entered the old building, taking no notice of its condition, not caring about the danger in his actions. Akaito removed the dark glasses from his face and dropped them into a pocket with his free hand, the inside of the building being dim, and the glasses making it near impossible to see. His other hand still clutched the chunk of metal he'd adopted as a makeshift weapon. He held it loosely, now, the tip of it nearly dragging along behind him. He wasn't about to drop it, yet. So he'd found Leon- Another Vocaloid. That didn't mean anything to Akaito. In a place like this, you can't trust anyone, no matter how long you may have known them.
His expression was an odd mix of concern and suspicion. He didn't know the motives behind Leon's being there, but Akaito is sure that's the blond is up to no good. Anyone who even step into the boundaries of the bad parts of town can't be there for no reason, by nature people avoid places that prove threatening, and it takes a specific need or want to come to a place like this. Leon didn't seem quite right in the head at the moment, and Akaito's grip on the rusty metal tightened. If it had been anyone else but Leon, Akaito would have probably gone ahead and whacked them in the head.
Akaito's face twisted into a dark glare as Leon spoke to him. 'What a pleasure to see you again' He'd said. Feh. The statement itself made him sick, and he felt anger slowly boiling inside him. Who knew that such few words could spark his anger like that? It didn't matter that the words were few. In that statement alone Akaito saw sarcasm, and he was tempted to go and beat the other Vocaloid for talking to him like that. Again, he studied the blond. Again he noted that something wasn't right. Again he hesitated.
"You shouldn't be in a place like this... and I shouldn't be in a place like this, either.." Akaito said simply, his voice deep, his mouth pulled into a bitter frown. He didn't want to appear concerned at all, despite how he felt beneath it all. The redhead looked around the interior of the building. It was really beaten up, and looked as if it would fall at any moment. Honestly he was frightened of the place, but he didn't dare let it show on his face. It wasn't a safe place to be, and Akaito would've much preferred being outside. He stepped closer to Leon, "I'm only in here because I saw you...and I don't care if it's nosy or not. You should tell me why you're in here." Akaito gave the other Vocaloid a half-truth about why he was there. If Akaito hadn't found Leon familiar, he would've just walked by and not have given it a second thought. But as luck would have it, Akaito saw him, and decided to follow, and now Leon was stuck with him until he was satisfied with proper answers.

Hatsune Miku Ichiban Ohime Sweetheart~♫ What was such a young VOCALOID doing in such a cold, depressing part of town all by herself? Don't ask me. Don't ask her, either, as she also doesn't know. The young VOCALOID girl, Hatsune Miku, had the strangest and the most annoying habit to get herself in dangerous situations easily. But hey, it's a big town! And very maze-like. One wrong turn into an alley can change from being a harmless shortcut home to a plunge into a dark future. Miku was supposed to be coming home for the day from working on a music video at the studio, but somehow got herself lost in the mess of alleys this city had.
The whole time Miku trekked through the lonesome streets of the innercity, she was blaming her brother. He was supposed to have picked her up, but instead, being a usual asshole Mikuo, he decided to forget. So, after waiting an hour, she decided to go all by herself. Boy, that was a stupid move on her part. Maybe it was an attempt at showing him that she didn't need help? After all, she could have just easily contacted somebody at home to come get her with her cellphone. But that just seemed too demanding. She hated the stereotype that everyone had that all celebrities were stuck up divas, and so every chance she had, she tried to prove them wrong.
Although, just this once, it'd be nice to be inside of a warm car instead of wandering out here. The Hatsune girl decided this, though she still never took out her phone. Calling somebody now would only get herself embaressed. If she came home by herself, it sure would show them. She sighed. How much more indecisive could she get? Did she want help, or not? Frusterated, she tugged on her own pigtails and moaned a little.
At that moment, she heard something other than her moan. Surprised, Miku let go of her pigtails and heightened her senses to hear what it was. She sighed. Just some people talking nearby. But wait, with further inspection, she realized just how familiar those voices were to her. In fact, she could match a face to each quite easily. She rushed forwards out of the alley she was in and skidded to a halt, finding that she was correct in her guessing. There was Akaito-san, who had wandered forwards into a crumbling building with a metal bar held offensively, and Miku gave another guess that Leon-san was jut on the other side of the hole in the wall that was supposed to once hold a door.
Being as curious as a kitty-cat and as dim as a burned out lightbalb, Miku crept along the side of the building and peeked in carefully. Man, this was both a relief and a worry to her. Sure, there was civilization here afterall and it was people she knew, no less, but they both looked strange in this environment. Leon-san looked distressed and almost insane, and Akaito-san looked suspicious and angry... more so than usual.
The VOCALOID made an indecisive move that was something of a mix of advancing and withdrawling, and her strange movement had touched a particularily unstuck brick in the holed wall, sending it clittery-clanging down and smashing on the ground next to her. A few big chunks of the brick even hit her leg forcefully. She sucked in a sharp breath to keep from letting out a very strong curse, and prayed that she could still make it out of here without being noticed.
The chances of that, however, were one to none. Such a clumsy little girl.

ZEON DUO "I'll kill you."
Leon's not sure why, but he wants to laugh. Out-right laugh, right there, in front of Akaito - who's apparently not satisfied with the way he's acting. Since when is anyone satisfied with Leon Duo, anyway? Since when does anyone start to care - except Buck, who apparently cares for everyone? He's almost tempted to laugh again, because he knows that this isn't something he comes across everyday, and it's so unlike him to milk it for all it's worth.
"I'm sorry for being here, then. But can you change what's already been done?" It's not Leon speaking anymore, but the virus in him. Zeon's laughter is cruel, ringing throughout the walls of the falling masterpiece, fingertips running across cracks and webs along the entirety. He's not sure what brought Leon to bring him out today, but the blond's probably frightened. He's not good with dealing with others aside from those he already know, and Akaito is one of the many he doesn't know. The virus continues to move around with his owner's body, footsteps echoing and holding the dust it's collecting together, moving forward, around, forward, forward again. He's not scared, no. He's excited. Excited that his master is stupid enough to try and kill himself - that perhaps, once Leon's 'soul' will leave, he can take over it. He knows viruses feed off their hosts - but he wonders if this will be different, because he's been given so much control already.
Zeon's smirk is as cruel as his laughter, and he throws his head back as he does so, looking at Akaito through different-looking blue orbs. "I'm so touched," the virus coos, voice smoother-sounding and more deep than that of his owner. He runs fingers through his blond hair, walks towards Akaito so that his fingertips can brush against the cool, rusted metal in the hands of the VOCALOID. For a moment, he looks up through those different- looking blue optics, and he turns around before giving some sort of continuation to the statement he'd just spoken.
"You seem to care for me. I certainly doubt you'll understand what I'm going to tell you if I do, however, my dear Akaito. You see, even I can't comprehend as to the reasons I'm here right now, standing in front of your lovely self," Zeon's tone is fierce, ice showing through cold blue optics. Just as he starts to continue, he hears a crash; and knows the redhead will be obstructed by the noise. His blue eyes flash slightly towards the direction, and as soon as he's sure that the other'll be comprehending the reason as to why the crash occurred, he dashes as quick as lightning towards the stairs - knowing that said stairs lead to bedrooms, and that they will crumble at any given weight. He's almost thankful that Leon's stopped getting proper nutrition - otherwise this would be the most risking task of his life, however short it may be. The virus pauses, looks back to make sure no-one's following, and begins running up the stairs - steps as light as possible and making soft, almost unnoticeable tapping noises along the rickety steps. He's not sure where he's going, and he's not sure what he plans on doing when he gets to the top - wanting, maybe, for Leon to take over then. He doesn't know the way the VOCALOID wants to get himself destroyed, and to be frank, he has no care in the world as to the means - only to the results. And if he's lucky, the results will end in his favor.

It was then that I realized.. the true meaning of serendipity. Akaito was losing the ability to think properly as his rage built up. He wanted to hurt the person in front of him, he wanted to hit him as he drew near. 'I'm so touched' Leon said. Softly. Venomously. Akaito felt he was being mocked. Cruelly, hatefully MOCKED. Who exactly did the other Vocaloid think he was? If anything Akaito was above him, better than him. Leon was nothing more than a primitive model. An obsolete form of himself, Akaito... But what was Akaito? Nothing more than a knock-off of Kaito, right? Just a different color, a lower pitch.. An expression of fury and madness twisted his face. His eyes were wide, pupils dilated, his sight firmly set on the other Vocaloid's face. His brow furrowed, his bottom lip being mercilessly chomped down on. Oh how Akaito wanted so badly just to whack him, lift the metal pole he held and just smash Leon's face in. His grip tightened even more, the rust biting into his palms. Akatio's body trembled with the pent-up anger. He'd kill the bastard. Right there, he'd kill him. He'd had just about enough of this... Verbal.. Hateful.. He didn't care that it was Leon. Leon hated Akaito, just like everyone else. Leon had earned Akaito's hatred just like everyone else.. Just like..
A clatter from behind drew Akaito's attention away from Leon. His head whipped around, looking for the source of the sound. What was THAT?! Akaito flung the piece of metal in the general direction of the clatter, then turned back around, only to see that Leon had darted off. Akaito let out a furious growl of sorts, and cursed loudly, unwilling to give chase. He stormed out to where he'd heard the horrible clatter, wandering outside to see what had caused the sound.
"What the HELL are you doing here?!" Akaito was still unbelievably angry, the victim was going to be who he was standing over, now. Poor Miku. His voice echoed through the building, even though Akaito was only standing in the entrance. He continued to verbally abuse the girl. She just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. "What, are you STUPID?" The red Vocaloid's rage was waning, now... It wasn't Miku's fault for anything, right? Akaito turned away from her with a growl and looked back at the interior of the collapsing building. Oh, how he hated that Leon took advantage of the situation like that. But.. Akaito would find him, still. He'd not given up on that. Akaito would find him and teach him a lesson... "...Leon's inside.. I don't know why. He's gone mental or something..." He was half-informing Miku about what was going on. He understood if she didn't decide to listen and got up and started hitting at him. "...We should find him." A more truthful statement would have been. 'you should find him for me, so I can kill him.' Akaito looked to Miku, wondering if she cared enough about Leon to even think of looking for him.

Hatsune Miku Ichiban Ohime Sweetheart~♫ While she could, Miku listened in carefully on the conversation. It was a very odd little chatter they were having. It almost sounded like Leon was mocking and teasing Akaito in a cruel way. She swallowed. She never liked it when her "siblings" were mean to eachother. It was just useless to be mean, anyway. It doesn't make anyone want to help your or be kind to you in return. But, it didn't exactly look like Leon wanted help. His face went from the kind, polite face she always knew to the face of a wild-eyed stranger. She didn't know what was going on, but she knew it couldn't be good. What was he trying to do?
The young VOCALOID's heartbeat ba-bumped and ba-bumped, to the point she was sure it was echoing, although it wasn't. The brick that fell onto her foot and then smashed everywhere was what got their attention. And obviously, their anger. When she looked back at what was going on, there was a metal pole spiraling her way. All she could do was gasp with wide-eyes as she was bulls-eyed in the head by the cold, steel pain. She fell back and hit the cement, making her head hurt even more.
When Miku looked up, she saw a blurry red figure standing over her, looking really angery. Before she even had the chance to speak, his words were all over here, spewing their negativity like a bunch of overfed babies. She pushed herself up and patted down her skirt calmly, then looked back up at Akaito. He looked angry, and he was right. She was stupid. She didn't blame him for hitting her. She deserved it anyways. Her eyes got all teary from the pain, but now Akaito was speaking again, and she still didn't interupt him out of polite habit. What- Leon? Well, she knew he was inside, but how suicidal could he be to run into a crumbling building?! Baka, baka, baka...
'That's it', the twintailed girl decided in her thoughts, 'I've gotta help!'
Although he wasn't offering, Miku took Akaito's hand to help herself up. Then, she turned her gaze to the crumbling building. Hmm. As much as her head hurt now, she couldn't restart herself. It would be risky if she was going to dive into that place. What kind of building did it used to be, anyway?! There were poles laying twisted and rusty and dangerous everywhere. It was times like these she was thankful her boots were so high and so strong.
"He couldn't have gotten very far, right?" She asked in her usual songbird voice. But it wasn't like she could help it. Even if she were to be completely enraged, or devastated, her voice would still sound like a spoken pop song. "Let's go."
Still holding onto Akaito's hand, she instead took his arm. Then, turned completely to the building and set off in a paced run. It wasn't that hard to run fast, really, with all of the dancing and such she had done. She could go much faster, but it was obvious Akaito wasn't that quick behind her. It must be her excersized leg muscles and agile figure that made her faster. So, she let go of his arm and went for the only passage she could see. He could catch up, anyway. And, hey! She was in luck! There was still the echoing of footsteps infront of her. She could probably still get to him in time.
She didn't mean to, but Miku let a call to her friend slip out, almost in desperation. "L-Leon-san!" She cried out, although she knew it probably wouldn't slow him down.

ZEON DUO "I'll kill you."
There's a moment Zeon pauses in his footsteps, head beginning to pound and vision going foggier than he remembers it being. Leon wants control again, senses that things are going to go worse than he planned - that someone else is trying to get past him and his suicidal ways. Zeon knows that the blond VOCALOID cares deeply for the others (though he's said many times he doesn't love them - programs can't love), and knows that eventually that's what's going to get him from continuing his maniacal attempts. The virus halts when he hears footsteps behind him, hisses a little as he realizes that indeed, the attempts will be sought to stop. Stupid Akaito, having to hold grudges. And that green-haired pop-singer who's stolen everyone's hearts - she pissed him off, too. Cold blue optics shimmer for a moment before his speed increases, the rubber shoes of the one known as Leon Duo tapping against the floor - which creaked and moaned with each step he made. Zeon's not sure whether the two will continue this pointless chase: they all know the result of that. It's not going to end well, in a summary. Not at all.
Because Zeon wants to end this with Leon being officially wiped out of this world - and doesn't care about who he has to drag down to get that wish fulfilled.
The footsteps behind him grow louder, closer. He hears the female songbird coo out in that delightful voice of hers, and for a moment he loses control - he stops running, his feet plant to the ground. "Hatsune-san - " Leon can't get any other words out rather than that, and again Zeon is moving. There's a rather large difference between both their voices, Leon's being more of a cheerful one, with the underlying desperation and sadness injected, and Zeon's being a complete ice berg. He's hoping the others don't notice that difference in their voices, hopes that they won't be able to piece the puzzle together, that they'd think Leon was just being a crazy little cracknut, and not at all being controlled by another entity. The virus isn't entirely confident of this, though. Buck found out incredibly quick that Leon had him - but had no means as to take him out. All Buck did was provide a distraction, and, considering what's happening now - it didn't help much.
Zeon looks right, left, and around - looking for a place to hide, a place to keep himself silent and quiet for as long as possible, deems it unnecessary, and continues running up the flights of stairs that rest on the other side of the hallway. The virus hopes it's the rooftop and not more rooms (as most men didn't even do their dirty work in the club itself, hopes that he'll be able to find the perfect spot for Leon to jump from, or hang himself from, or even find something sharp up there like a broken shard of glass for him to stab through complex organs. He manages to reach it at last, trips and falls to the ground - scrapes the pale flesh that belongs to his body's owner. He doesn't know where to go, and the virus curses under his breath. He stands and runs again, goes towards the edge.

It was then that I realized.. the true meaning of serendipity. Akaito allowed Miku to use his arm to get herself up off the ground. Though, being dragged along behind her bothered him. He didn't complain and let himself be dragged by the Hatsune, but in his mind he thought of all sorts of nasty names at her. She probably couldn't help it, used to being around her cuddly pals back home. The red head wrinkled his nose. How sickeningly sweet. It was a relief when she'd released him and he glared after her, and ran to catch up. He heard Miku call to Leon, the sound of his name making him scowl, and he began to sprint, running beside Miku, then pushing himself so he was in front of her.
Akaito reached the outside, the light bliding him a bit and he paused. Once his eyes adjusted to the light, he saw what he thought was Leon's figure quickly approaching the edge of the building. What the hell was he doing?! Akaito sucked in a huge breath and went after him, in a final mad dash, his arm snapping out to grab Leon. His arm, his shirt..anything, trying to prevent him from plummeting off the edge of the building. He gritted his teeth, hoping, hoping that he wasn't too late. His hand snatched into a fist as soon as his fingertips felt the material beneath them, and Akaito wrenched hard on whatever it was he grabbed, yanking back as hard as he possibly could.
What the hell did the think he was doing?! Akaito breathed hard, panting, slowly walking toward the edge that he'd just pulled Leon away from. Peering down, he saw the street below, a lone car cruising by. A fall from this height could seriously maim someone. It was doubtful that the fall would kill you, though. Seriously maim, but not kill. However, on this side of town, no one would think to call an ambulance, or even do a double take if they saw someone lying in the street... If you were to be there by yourself and jump, your death is guaranteed. Is that what Leon was doing here? Akaito didn't bother with asking, that could be the only reason... Right?
He thought it was incredibly stupid of him to even consider doing something like that. To come to such a place just for that. Perhaps, it was the only choice he thought he had? Akaito remained mute as he thought. He wondered vaguely what drove Leon to think that this was the only way? He supposed it didn't matter. Leon was an idiot. It was a terrible thing to think of someone who'd wanted to kill himself, but Akaito didn't want to dwell on the topic for too long. It bothered him a lot. The red head turned around and stared at Leon. "..What exactly did you think you were doing? Was this really the best you could come up with??" Akaito kept his tone of voice controlled. It was oddly soft, even to him. He turned back around, not caring if he was answered or not. He stared down at the street do far below.

Hatsune Miku Ichiban Ohime Sweetheart~♫ Despite having thought that her tough leather boots would protect her from the sharp, rusted bars and jagged bricks, Miku was still getting cuts all over her legs, as well as any other exposed body part. Even some cuts in her skirt. But still, she wasn't about to give up. She kept running as fast as her bleeding, skinny legs could carry her. As klutzy and occasionally brainless as she was, she was incredibly caring about her friends and loved ones.
After awhile, the twintailed popstar was starting to get tired. Maybe a full-on sprint was a bad idea to start with. But she was releaved to see Akaito gaining speed and running past her, obviously more able than her. She gasped for breath as she chased him, closing her eyes for a minute to let her ears do the work for her. Eventually, she felt herself hit a step. Her eyes opened.
Just a quick trip on the first step, giving her one more minor wound, and Miku was back on her run, climbing up the steps on her hands and feet. Then, when she made it to the top, she watched as Akaito grabbed Leon away from the dangerous height and pulled him away. Then, he looked down at the height. She swallowed in worry.
The greenette pushed herself up from the cold cement ground and jogged over to the two damaged VOCALOID. They were just as beat up as she was, although she assumed they didn't notice, for they didn't seem to be in pain physically. She put her hand on Leon's shoulder lightly and slipped her arm around his. She was panting for breath, but he still looked up at him with a relieved smile.
"L-Leon-s-san...," She breathed. "You're okay!"

LEONIDAS DUO "It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah."
Zeon's so ready, ready to taste that freedom, ready to - stopstopstopstop.
Leon finds that he's gotten control again, shouts loudly as he spots that if he stops he'll still be sent flying anyway; braces himself and feels a tight grip, almost deathly, on the fabric of his clothing. The blond VOCALOID feels tears spring to his eyes, and almost as quick as they'd come, he'd swatted them away. Crying is for girls, his master had told him. Tears are not allowed. And then as quick as he was pulled, Leon's back collides with the cemented roof with a cry from his damaged vocal chords. He hears the words shouted at him, yet finds no time to get them properly registered into his fuzzy mind. He blinks, listening some more, and opens his mouth to speak.
"I didn't think you'd save me," he answers, and then as he sits up and attempts to stand - wobbles in his place, and nearly yelps when he feels an arm wrapped around his own. His green eyes - formerly blue due to the control of a certain Zeon - eventually crack. This girl, whose aim was to save one who didn't want to be saved - she was happy. Telling him he was okay, that he wasn't hurt when he was supposed to end up that way. The blond's not sure why his heart (which he believes to be something unreal.. not true) is beating like this, like someone cares for him like family. The other VOCALOIDs, the successful ones, they were always together. Cute and cuddly. Happy, happy, joy, joy, laughter, ha ha ha. He finds it weird to be given the same attention from someone from that happy family, and for the first time - feels like he belongs with the others. The others being young Miku Hatsune, whose voice sounds like an angel's. Leon almost envies her.
"Y-Yeah," he says, voice still rasped and oh-so flawed, ".. I'm.. okay." The word is so foreign to him, so odd-tasting on his tongue. The VOCALOID's heart is still pumping, and his fingers tremble slightly. He bites hard on his lower lip to keep from letting out a long, low whine. This is so unlike him, and his arm moves down with him when he falls, almost tired, to the cold cemented ceiling. He looks towards Miku, lets a shaky, flawed; vulnerable little half-smile cross his features, and then turns his head so as to look at Akaito, whose eyes have yet to meet his properly. Said emerald optics are shimmering lightly, wet as eyes should be, but not to the point that tears fall from them. His fingers are still trembling, and as they scrape the hard cement he's sitting on, he feels blood drip from his fingertips; feels his face contort in a pained expression. It's habits again, and how they control him. The flawed VOCALOID's tone of voice is apologetic, then, soft and unsure of how to continue. But soft, and trembling, and scared.
"I'm sorry for ruining both your days."
Leon lifts his hands, lets the trembling digits appear in his field of vision - stares at the vital liquid dripping from them and closing his eyes. He's not going to cry, but he ponders. 'Why did they save me?' he thinks, pressing his bleeding fingers to his chest, staining the blue fabric with crimson.[/blockquote]

It was then that I realized.. the true meaning of serendipity. He didn't think he'd save him? Why the hell not? Akaito continued to stare down at the street below. He didn't have anything to say about that. Nothing that would've helped the situation, anyway. His body was still nervous and trembling from the short rush of adrenaline. He really didn't think he would have been able to grab Leon when he did, and from the looks of things it was lucky that he did. Akaito sighed and turned around when he heard Miku join them. He looked at her, all cut up from the rubble that they had just ran through, then he looked down at himself. It wasn't so bad, nothing really hurt, but he'd probably feel it the next day. He wandered back over to the other Vocaloids, his shoes shuffling on the roof they stood on. "..Don't worry about it, Leon.. My day was ruined when I left the house this morning." He placed a hand on the top of the Blonde's head. He didn't know how to comfort someone, what the hell was he really supposed to do? He'd Let Miku take care of Leon.
"...Hey.. Hey.. Come on.. get up.. the both of you.." Akaito spoke quietly, and offered both his arms to Miku and Leon. He didn't care if they wanted his help up or not, but he still offered. It didn't matter to him if is offer was taken, he just felt that it was something he should do. "..It's not a big deal.. So don't worry about it.." Akaito still avoided eye contact with Leon. He didn't mean any disrespect by it, he just didn't want to look at him. He didn't know why, but an odd feeling in his chest prevented him from doing so. Akaito turned his head back toward the door they had all used to get onto the roof. He was ready to get back down and put his feet on something that was solid. He didn't trust the building to stay steady and it made him nervous.. almost sick.. being so high up.

Hatsune Miku Ichiban Ohime Sweetheart~♫ Vunerable. Leon looked vunerable while he collapsed onto the floor. Miku sighed, but continued to smile warmly. Why did he appologize? That dummy. She wouldn't have come to help him if she didn't want to. But, she did. She wanted him to be safe and sound, just as she wished for everyone. Her own life meant less to her than others' lives. The twintailed popstar shook her head to Leon's appology. She didn't want to hear that. There should be nothing to be sorrowful about. Only joyous. Gratitude. Not that Miku minded if he didn't thank her.
The only phrase that seemed to fit in a situation like this was used by Miku. She smiled and replied, "Hey, what're friends for, right?"
It was then that Akaito offered the both of them his hands to help them up, coincidencally enough. She smiled in thanks and accepted his hand, pulling herself up lightly. It seemed that the pain of her wounds were dimming. They were soon to numb, she was sure. After they were away from this death trap of a building, she would be sure to reset herself and clean up. She wasn't sure what her family's reaction would be to her coming home late at night with torn clothes would be, but it probably wouldn't be good. Rape, muggers, attempted murder. She sighed. How could she think of any good excuse to set their minds at ease and not get into trouble?
Under Miku's feet, the ground rumbled a little as another wall probably collapsed. This place was getting even more dangerous with time. They had to get out of here quickly. She looked down at her own body, making sure that no wounds were severe. Check. All systems go. She felt her head a little to make sure there was no blood, and that was when she noticed one of her pigtails were down. Evidentally one of her ribbons had been snagged by an obsticle and pulled out or broken. She sighed and untied her remaining ribbon, and then tied her hair back up into one ponytail. Anything to get the mass of hair out of her way.
Letting go of Akaito's hand, she tiptoed over to the edge to look over. She was curious. All she saw was rubble from the building and a dark abyss of shadows. It made sense, considering it was night time and the lamp had burned out. The moon illuminated the roof, but it couldn't reach the alleyway. She looked up at said moon, trying at guessing the time. It had to be nearing midnight by now, if not exceeding it. Another rumble sounded in the background and Miku gave another tight in and out breath, close to a gasp. She turned from the edge.
"I'm getting a l-little bit worried," She mumbled softly to the other VOCALOID, her voice shakey and obviously afraid. "M-Maybe we should g-go..."

LEONIDAS DUO "It's a cold and it's a broken hallelujah."
The blond VOCALOID finds that he's surprised to see Akaito's shoes move towards him and Miku, surprised to feel a foreign hand touch the top of his head and gently tap it. He closes his eyes, however, and when he opens them, he's surprised to hear the voice deeper than his own, emerald optics briefly flashing before turning back to their child-like look again. He's almost tempted to laugh, but then knows how much bad things happen when he does. He figures that it's okay to just smile. Happiness requires patience, he suppose. And although he's close to never patient, he can try to wait. He's surprised when Akaito offers his hand, surprised again when Miku calls him a 'friend'. He knows he's not part of the happy VOCALOID family, Meiko, Kaito, Miku, Rin, Len, Gakupo, Luka. Etcetera, etcetera. He knows that he doesn't belong with them, but finds that he feels some sort of comfort knowing that he's cared for, even just a little.
"Yeah.." Trembling fingers reach out for Akaito's arm, and then they curl around it; the thin, malnourished blond moving to get himself up and not stumbling anymore. He lets out a small 'gah!' as he loses his footing, grip on Akaito's arm getting tighter before he thinks that he'll be okay. The building's rumbling is to blame, he tells himself. I'm not going to die in front of these guys. I can't. Leon blinks as Miku begins to move towards the edge, about to stop her - and then surprised (he gets surprised quite a lot, now) when she retreats and begins to falter with her cheerfulness. He notices the panic and the fear in her tone, and feels almost guilty. He's to blame for this, for the uncomfortable feeling that's in the pit of Miku's stomach, and for the fear. It's always fear, he knows. Everyone has fear - one thing that unites all into one.
"You should go ahead. I'll catch up. I can't possibly move as quick as you both in the shabby state I'm in. I'm practically a zombie. Just go," Leon says, not wanting to drag the two down with him, his fingers removing themselves from Akaito's arm and then, finally, falling down to his sides. He can't depend on anyone, he remembers. Such a dangerous path. But he stands there, tries to regain his stamina, waits for the two to leave him so he can destroy what's left and bring himself with it. He knows they'll possibly not listen to him, but it's worth a shot. A longshot.[/blockquote]
