That's right, laws. This future world has LAWS, damnit! Failure to follow these laws will result in warning, suspension, and BANNING. And we don't want that happening. DD:
Here's how it goes:
#-Housekeeping
#-Giving Credit Where Credit is Due
#-Becoming a Citizen & Owning a Product
#-Posting- How to Be Good At It

#HOUSEKEEPING#
Okay, I'm sure you kiddies all know better than to powerplay and godmod, since, after all, this IS a semi-lit RP. If you don't know not to make you character indestructible or not to control other people's characters, get off of this forum. Now.
Now, first thing's first. Admins have the last say in EVERYTHING. We own this forum. If something is started, we'll stop it. Don't take it into your own hands—tell us. Elsewise, you might just make things worse.
For the love of all that is whatever you love, don't post before you are accepted! We have an OOC c-box for this kind of stuff. Are you bored? Go make friends in the OOC c-box! We're a friendly bunch here.
In the case that there are some of you who are a bit too serious, don't take anything in character as the same views of a the person behind the computer screen. Just because you and your fellow forum member have enemy characters doesn't mean that you two members are enemies yourselves.
Need help? Ask the staff! We'd be happy to help—after all, our job is to not only be slave drivers to run the forum, but to make sure that you all are okay. So, have a problem? Run it by us—we'll see what we can do.
Do act maturely. Outside of the adult board, there is violence [and killing that is implied, of course. Any sort of erm...things outside of the adult board is to be implied and not described in detail--else wise, you get a warning.] Cursing is allowed, but to a certain minimum. If your character has a potty mouth, then censor the really obscene stuff.
Oh, and remember--do ask people before you kill their characters.

#GIVING CREDIT WHERE CREDIT IS DUE#
As you may or may not know, Exit Trance Remix is a Vocaloid forum that will use characters that have anime-style appearances. Thus, we get to the topic of face claims. Face claims are the appearances you use for you character's looks. For example, let's say Roxy has a Character X. Roxy decides to use a picture of Edward Elric from Full Metal Alchemist has the appearance for Character X. Thus, the face claim for Character X is Edward Elric. Understand? Good. Now, at the bottom of every application should be a little box asking for face claims. If you don't know who your face claim is, just put “N/A”.
If the face claim is art you drew yourself, then put either “Art © Artist's Name Here” or “N/A”.
If you used any outside sources when making an application, do make a reference to the outside source used—in other words, give credit where credit is due.
However!
Don't use art from, say, deviantArt or somewhere like that. None of us want to get in trouble~<3

#BECOMING A CITIZEN & OWNING A PRODUCT#
And so, we get to creating the character. Here's the deal--
One account per character, no exceptions. Each account must share the same name as the character they hold. That means, Miku and Mikuo should not be under the account "namimaru", but under separate accounts--one named "Miku Hatsune (or Hatsune Miku)" and one named "Mikuo Hatsune (or Hatsune Mikuo).
Vocaloids and mp3s are allowed to belong to other humans. So, just because Nami plays Miku doesn't necessarily mean that she belongs to Nami's human character [in this case, 'Maru]. Nami can play Miku, but she can belong to 'Anne, the human Roxy plays. Two products per human, please.
There's a four character limit with a three product character limit. Which means, the maximum amount of canon characters you can have is three. No complaining. Also! If you have four characters, but only one of them is active, the other three accounts will be deleted. We do monthly activity checks. We warned you.
Don't make canon remakes. Meaning, if your OC has Ichigo Kurosaki as a face claim, don't make it so that he practically IS Ichigo. Having his face and name is fine, but please PLEASE don't make him a carbon copy. Characters with traits too similar to canons from any series will be slapped with a “REVISE” sticker. And don't think we don't check. We do. So, for the love of your character...be original.
No Mary Sues or Marty Stues or Gary Stues or whatever. Meaning, don't make a character who's just perfect all around, okay? Though we as staff are pretty lax (kinda hard to believe from reading everything around here, eh?), if we catch any Sues or Stues, we'll try and help you revise the character into something more realistic/practical. Even computer music stars aren't perfect!
NOT EVERY HUMAN HAS TO HAVE AN MP3 OR VOCALOID BUT EVERY VOCALOID OR MP3 HAS TO HAVE A HUMAN MASTER--we're sorry to put this in caps, but we really want people to see this.

#POSTING: HOW TO BE GOOD AT IT#
Post minimum: 100 words. Exit Trance Remix is a semi-lit and up forum, meaning, we want posts that are a little longer. 100 words should be about one or one and a half full paragraphs. Don't mistake this, though—though we do like quantity and this 100-word minimum, we'd rather you type a 100-word post that's worth reading rather than a 3,000-word crap post.
Proper grammar and spelling, please! We know everyone here isn't perfect, which is why you should proofread your post before posting it. At least spellcheck! I mean, yeah, this might seem kinda bad coming from me since, in all honestly, I get lazy with my posts and this within itself is probably riddled with errors—but! Everyone appreciates coming home to a nicely put together post. If not out of character, then, do it in character! Especially in character! Challenge yourself!
I'm sure we've already gone over this, but, just in case--no powerplaying or godmodding. Because controlling other people's characters without their permission will most likely piss them off and making your character indestructable is just annoying.
If you want to make your posts fancy, that's fine. However, there are three things we'd like for you to remember:
--If you wanna color your text, go ahead, just make sure people can still read it. --You wanna align your posts a certain way? Go ahead—just don't right align. Just... [block quote]. --If you wanna put icons at the top of your post, that's fine, just know that the maximum number of them you can use is three and they all have to be 100 x 100 pixels.

#REJECTION & DELETION: IT'S A WAY OF LIFE#
We're all gonna be shot down at some point in our lives. If your character is rejected, don't whine and moan about it. Retry at making them or talk to the staff about it, okay?
Now, here are ways to deal with being rejected from the forum:
Warnings—heed the warnings. NO, that's not some silly ominous sign—we're serious. If you wanna stay out of trouble, heed any hints or warnings us staff are kind enough to drop. Ignoring thiese warnings can lead to suspension for a period of time—in which, hopefully, you'll think about what you have done.
However, if you believe you have been wrongfully suspended, get on a side account and let us know, okay?
Now, say you come back and you start acting a foo'....again. You'll get IP banned. This shouldn't happen too often since we're very loving staff, but if we IP ban you, then there must be a message we're tying to get to you: may something along the lines of “you were a F@$#ing stain on this forum and we never want to see your $#/$ing, %@*#, %#&*% face ever again”.
When a member is IP banned, all of their accounts will promptly be deleted.
If you have any questions, contact Roxy or Nami or any other staff member.
